The Perfect Time

“As matches become less common during the next few months, now is the perfect time to do what a lot of people never even think about, cleaning your hardback coat. We have found that a mild detergent, such as dawn dish soap and a nylon brush work wonders on stains and, most importantly, smells in your hardback. To clean your coat, brush in small circles throughout your coat. Let it air dry. Do not take your coat to a dry cleaner or put it in your washing machine, as this can ruin the integrity of the coat’s hardback materials. Also, the chemicals used may damage the non-slip rubber material. If your coat has leather, use a leather cleaner to wipe the leather clean, but you can still use soapy water on the inside of your coat. It’s never a bad idea to use a leather conditioner on your coat to prolong the life of the leather.”
