Davidson brings to Creedmoor Sports broad marketing experience in the shooting sports industry including executing product launches and managing large-scale content generation projects. His role at Creedmoor Sports will be focused on driving consumer engagement through integrated marketing campaigns supported by rich, engaging content delivered through all D2C communication platforms.

“Joining the team at Creedmoor Sports is very exciting. I’ve always had a passion for the (shooting sports) industry, and a passion for driving consumer engagement both of which are encompassed in this role,” said Jonathan Davidson, Marketing Specialist. “We have significant growth goals for 2023 and playing a key role in growing our brand through driving consumer engagement is a great opportunity,” added Davidson.

“Jonathan, or “JJ” as he’s known around the office, is a welcome addition to the team. Creedmoor Sports’ facilities are located on the grounds of historic Fort McClellan in Anniston, AL. The former US Army installation is now home to a mix of private industry, government, and military training facilities. Since relocating to Alabama in 2013, Creedmoor Sports has enjoyed a period of strong business growth. The company has recently become more vertically integrated by expanding its in-house manufacturing capabilities. This additional acreage will support a larger campus and will provide the infrastructure for further expansion in the areas of manufacturing, product development, and retail distribution operations. 

“Expanding our operational footprint has been a key element of our long-term growth plan for quite some time,” said Bill Gravatt, President of Creedmoor Sports. “The efforts of our hard-working, talented Creedmoor Sports team in areas such as product development, marketing, and operational efficiencies have created this need to expand. We’ve outgrown our current space, and to support our growth in current and new markets, we need to expand our campus. The fact we can do so right here on McClellan is really an honor. The historical significance of the area is appreciated by all of us at Creedmoor and I am sure it will be by the history buffs among our customer base,” added Gravatt.

“When I first started shooting high power service rifle, I had never used or seen a shooting coat. My first true shooting experiences were in single-shot silhouette competitions, which did not permit the use of gear such as this. I borrowed my shooting coach’s wife’s coat for a while, but as I honed my skills I discovered that it was too big for me, especially in the shoulders. This made it hard to develop a consistent prone position.
After talking with fellow high power shooters, I learned that most preferred the Creedmoor hardback shooting coat. I soon found that the standard coat sizes generally fit men better than women. This makes sense considering the market: female high power shooters are greatly outnumbered. I presented my issue and Creedmoor’s excellent staff worked above and beyond to make me their first fully customized coat and get it to me before my match season began. I worked mostly with Gina Williams, Customer Care and Operations Manager, and Brent Books, who were more than helpful throughout the process. I was worried that the coat would not fit quite right due to the extensive measurements involved. Creedmoor creatively sent me a canvas liner to try on and see how it fit prior to making the full coat. Coordinating between Alabama and Ohio, they made adjustments to the liner to complete the coat.
When my Creedmoor coat arrived the night before my first across-the-course high power match of the season, I was thrilled and struck by the beauty of it. I had chosen navy leather sleeves with a royal blue front and silver back”….more to follow once the article is live!

Gina reports directly to Greg Kantorovich, President/Owner of Creedmoor Sports. Gina will be responsible for directing all matters in providing Creedmoor customers with the best customer service possible, in addition to managing Operations.
