Vaavud Sleipnir Wind Meter For Smartphones

I had the opportunity to get my hands on the Vaavud Sleipnir Wind Meter for Smartphones today and I am impressed! All I did was download the app to my iPhone, open the packaging and plug-in the wind meter. I then stepped outside to test it. The results were instant, and included wind speed, wind direction, temperature and gustiness. There were several flags on houses around me that were blowing exactly the same direction as the app said the wind was blowing. While we cannot easily use any device while in position, the instant feedback provided should prove great when in prep and evaluating wind conditions across the course.
